At present, the filament fabric is the most suitable material for cleanroom use as listed above. To make a lasting anti-static or static discharge effectiveness, conductive yarn (roughly 0.1-0.5% weight about the fabric), must be woven into the fabric. Usually this conductive yarn will appear in a bar or plaid pattern warrants (3-10mm, depending on the eventual use of).

Reasons for Adopting Cleanroom Apparel

As a result of electrostatic dissipative and particle release, the electronic manufactures pay a lot. For years of experience, they realize the importance of cleanroom. To overcome electronic release, the manufacturer has initiated a plan to control electrostatic. The use of cleanroom apparel is a key element in the achievement of this task. For these electrostatic control plans, the most frequently used methods of manufacturing is a "electrostatic safety zone". The operators in these areas tie a wrist strap to discharge the static. This is a very effective way to control static electricity from staff, but useless for those gathering on the clothing. The charge of staff clothes is usually between 5,000 to 30,000 volts, not considering humidity of the room. But many of the electronic devices will be undermined when electrostatic release between 100 to 300 volts. Thus, to control the problems caused by electrostatic in cleanroom, we must use permanent ESD clothing, with static control measures. Even in the electrostatic control zone, ESD clothing is necessary.
